Parents Anonymous was recognized as the state's leader in the prevention of child abuse and neglect.  PA is Arizona's oldest child abuse and neglect prevention agency, with over 25 years experience in providing mental health programming, early intervention, and family support services for children and families.  Serving over 12,000 children and families each year, PA’s mission is to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.  Included in the resources and services offered to the community is the Family Lifeline, a hotline throughout Arizona for parents experiencing stress with their children or needing information about community resources available to meet the needs of their family.  The Family Lifeline is a primary prevention service available to the community, as its purpose is to serve families prior to the necessity of intervention, before a crisis occurs, or a situation gets out of hand.

Mission Statement

The vision of The Arizona Family Lifeline Anonimos of Arizona (PA)  We have taken over the life line network since, Parents Anonymous of Arizona is no longer operating this help line.

Staff and trained volunteers answer calls from parents to provide information or sometimes, just a listening ear.  People receiving calls have initial training and ongoing in-service trainings, which are offered at least 4 times per year.  At the initial training, each volunteer receives a resource manual, which lists available community resources to provide to the caller.  It is updated annually and when resource information changes or new resources are discovered, volunteers are provided the updated/new information.   In addition, the Prevention Specialist is available to answer questions, provide updated information, and provide the in-service trainings to maintain and enhance the skills of those answering calls for the Family Lifeline.
